Live Caribbean Stud Poker - Game Play and Game Rules

Each Live Caribbean Stud Poker game begins with players placing a bet (or ‘ante’) in front of the seat they occupy. This is a mandatory bet before the cards are dealt. Minimum and maximum bet limits apply.

The dealer then announces, “No more bets”. All players and the dealer then each receive five cards. The players’ cards are dealt face up. The dealer’s cards are dealt face down, except for the dealer’s last card which is face up.

After examining their five cards, each player has the option to fold or raise (place a Call bet). If the player decides to raise then the player must make a raise wager (a Call bet) exactly twice their Ante bet.  If the player folds he forfeits his cards and Ante bet.

The dealer then turns over their other four cards to reveal their complete hand of five cards.

The dealer must have an ace and a king or higher to qualify. (In other words, the lowest qualifying hand for the dealer would be ace, king, 4, 3, 2 and the highest non-qualifying hand would be ace, queen, jack, 10, 9.)

5+1 Bonus - how it works

If you place the 5+1 Bonus side bet you win if your five cards plus the dealer’s first face up card make a five-card poker hand of a Three of a Kind or better.

To place this bet the player must first place the Ante bet. The player’s decision to ‘Call’ or ‘Fold’ does not affect the 5+1 Bonus bet.

5+1 Bonus pays out as follows:

5+1 Bonus Side BetPays
Royal Flush 1,000 to 1
Straight Flush 200 to 1
Four of a Kind 100 to 1
Full House 20 to 1
Flush 15 to 1
Straight 10 to 1
Three of a Kind 7 to 1

Possible outcomes of the main game

  • If the dealer does not qualify, the player will win even money on their Ante bet and their raise (Call bet) will push.
  • If the dealer qualifies and beats the player, both the player’s Ante bet and raise (Call bet) will be lost.
  • If the dealer qualifies and loses to the player, the player will win even money on their Ante bet and their raise (Call bet) will win according to the poker hand rankings in the payout table.
  • If the dealer and the player tie, both Ante bet and raise (Call bet) will push.

*Push is a tied hand between the player and dealer. In this instance, your wager is returned.

Hand Rankings and Payouts
