Reinstall the software on a Mac

First, we recommend backing up your settings file (file ending in user.ini) and player notes file (notes.user.xml - where user is your username). The notes file will only be present if a player takes notes on other players at the poker tables, you can ignore the instructions related to this if it doesn't apply to you.

To find your notes:

  1. Open the Finder, on the top menu bar choose: Go → Go to Folder...
  2. Copy and paste the path below and press Go:
    ~/Library/Application Support/
  3. Scroll down and open our software's folder, which will contain the notes file.

To find your settings file:

  1. Open the Finder, on the top menu bar choose: Go → Go to Folder...
  2. Type the following or copy/paste into the area provided and press Enter:
    ~/Library/Preferences/
  3. It is the file ending in user.ini.

If the library folder does not display:

  1. Please launch Terminal from Spotlight (Spotlight can be found in the top-right of the menu bar or press the Command + Space bar key combination)
  2. Enter the following command to show the directory:
    chflags nohidden ~/Library/
  3. Press Enter

This will show the Library folders in the finder so that you can search for the file we mentioned

Once you have made a copy of the files you will need to:

  1. Uninstall the software by dragging it into the Trash.
  2. Go to our site and download the .zip file again from the download section.
  3. Press Show Downloads in Safari.
  4. Double-click on our software file.
  5. In the window that opens, select and drag our software into the Applications folder.
  6. Double-click on the application folder.
  7. In the window that opens, double-click on the install file.

Finally, restore the saved files once the reinstallation has been completed.

To restore your notes, open our software and choose: Help → Open My Settings Folder

Close our software and copy the file back into the folder. If you are asked to overwrite any file accept.

To restore your settings:

  1. Open the Finder, on the top menu bar choose: Go → Go to Folder...
  2. Copy and paste the path below and press Go:
    ~/Library/Preferences/
  3. Place the file ending in user.ini back into the folder. If you are asked to overwrite any file, accept.

Finally, to complete the process, restart your computer.
